The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 10-hour water cut in several areas of the Gampaha District today (June 11).
Accordingly, water supply will be suspended from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the following areas:
*Peliyagoda, Wattala, Ja-Ela, and Katunayake-Seeduwa Urban Council areas
* Kelaniya, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Katana, Minuwangoda, and Gampaha Pradeshiya Sabha areas
The NWSDB stated that the disruption is necessary to connect the solar power system at the Biyagama Water Treatment Plant to the main grid and to carry out essential maintenance work.
