The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 12-hour water cut on Sunday, May 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., affecting Colombo and several nearby areas.
The temporary suspension of water supply is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance work at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant, the NWSDB stated.
The Board has advised residents in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and store sufficient water to avoid inconvenience during the disruption.
The following areas will be affected by the water cut:

The NWSDB has assured that water supply will be restored promptly upon completion of the maintenance work.
