The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWS&DB) has announced an 18-hour water supply interruption for several areas in the Western Province, starting today morning (26 December).
The suspension will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 26) and is expected to last until 3:00 a.m. on Friday (Dec. 27) to facilitate urgent repairs on the main transmission line following a breakdown.
The affected areas are:
- Kalutara South
- Kalutara North
- Wadduwa
- Waskaduwa
- Moronthuduwa
- Bombuwala
Residents in these areas are advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it sparingly during the repair period.
