200,000 Acres of Cultivated Land Damaged Due to Adverse Weather

The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board has reported that nearly 200,000 acres of cultivated land have been damaged as a result of the recent adverse weather conditions.

Chairman of the Board, Pemasiri Jasingarachchi, stated that approximately 100,000 farmers have reported significant crop losses caused by the inclement weather.

He further noted that the assessment of the damage to cultivated land is currently underway.
