Sri Lanka Police announced that 430 suspects have been arrested in connection with drug-related offences during operations conducted within the past 24 hours.
The majority of arrests were linked to heroin, with 119 individuals taken into custody. Another 147 were apprehended with ICE (crystal methamphetamine), while 157 were found in possession of cannabis.
During the operations, police also seized 3 kilograms and 862 grams of heroin, along with 220 grams of ICE.
These arrests are part of an ongoing island-wide crime and drug prevention operation, which has been in effect since April 17.
