An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck off the east coast of Japan’s main island, Honshu, on Thursday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).
The quake occurred at a depth of approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 miles), the agency said.
