Police announced that 689 suspects were arrested during special islandwide operations conducted yesterday.
Among those taken into custody, 24 individuals were directly linked to crimes, while 242 others had outstanding warrants. An additional 158 suspects with open warrants were also apprehended.
Meanwhile, 100 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence, and 27 others for reckless driving.
Police further reported that legal action was taken against 3,635 individuals for various traffic offences.
