The National Dengue Control Unit has reported 778 new dengue cases within the first week of December, bringing the total number of cases this year to 46,305.
The Colombo district has recorded the highest number of cases, with 11,670 infections reported so far.
The unit also identified 12 high-risk MoH divisions across the island where dengue prevalence remains a concern.
Additionally, there have been 23 dengue-related deaths recorded this year, underscoring the need for heightened vigilance and prevention measures.
