The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced plans to gather public opinion on a proposal by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to maintain existing electricity tariffs for the first six months of next year.
PUCSL Chairman Prof. K.P.L. Chandralal stated that public consultations will commence in two weeks. Simultaneously, the Commission has launched a special study to evaluate the proposal submitted by the CEB on Friday, December 6.
A final decision on the electricity tariffs will be made after the study’s completion and thorough consideration of public feedback.
