A Gazette notification has announced the updated monthly payment structure for ‘Aswesuma’ welfare beneficiaries in 2025. The revised payments are categorized as follows:
- Extremely Poor: Rs. 17,500 per month (January to June)
- Poor: Rs. 10,000 per month (January to June)
- Vulnerable: Rs. 5,000 per month (January to December)
- Transitional: Rs. 5,000 per month (January to March)
The previous welfare payment scheme, introduced on May 17, 2024, has been officially rescinded. However, payments under the previous scheme will continue until December 31, 2024, for beneficiaries experiencing delays.
Applicants awaiting selection for the scheme will receive payments once their eligibility is confirmed. This includes those who have lodged appeals, with investigations ongoing to verify their qualifications for the welfare benefits.
