The Western Provincial High Court has announced the temporary seizure of properties and assets belonging to former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and his immediate family members.
According to a newspaper advertisement, the Bribery Commission has taken measures to deactivate 18 bank accounts and five life insurance policies. Additionally, an apartment in Colombo 05 and a Mercedes-Benz car have been seized.
The asset seizure is effective from December 23, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
Further details regarding the reasons behind the seizure have not been disclosed.
