The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced plans to reduce water tariffs by 10% to 30% in the near future.
According to an NWSDB spokesperson, the proposed tariff cut aligns with the recent reduction in electricity rates. A dedicated committee has been appointed to evaluate the proposal, and its recommendations will be submitted to the NWSDB Chairman in the coming days.
Once reviewed, the Chairman will forward the recommendations to the subject minister before seeking Cabinet approval.
