Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa has expressed disapproval of the Mahinda Rajapaksa government’s decision to remove Shirani Bandaranayake from the position of Chief Justice.
Speaking during discussions on the proposal to remove Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon—who is currently under suspension and in remand custody—Rajapaksa cautioned the present administration against repeating the missteps of past governments.
