Regular trading at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) was temporarily halted this morning after the S&P SL20 index dropped by more than 5% compared to the previous close.
In accordance with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Directive dated April 30, 2020, trading was halted for a period of sixteen (16) minutes, from 9:51 a.m. to 10:07 a.m.
Following the halt, the CSE announced that an Auction Session will be held for fourteen (14) minutes, from 10:07 a.m. to 10:21 a.m.
Thereafter, the Regular Trading session will resume at 10:21 a.m.
