The Department of Meteorology announces that showers or thundershowers are expected in several locations within the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Polonnaruwa, Hambantota, and Mullaittivu districts during the afternoon or night.
Fairly heavy rainfall, around 50 mm, is likely in some areas.
Meanwhile, showers are also expected in the Western Province and in the Galle, Matara, and Puttalam districts during the morning.
The public is kindly advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Additionally, misty conditions are likely in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, along with the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the morning.
