Senior Additional Solicitor General and President’s Counsel Nalin Rohantha Abeysooriya was sworn in as the new President of the Court of Appeal this morning (June 19), before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.
In addition, High Court Judges Don Francis Hathurusinghe Gunawardena and Adithya Kantha Madduma Patabendige took oaths as Justices of the Court of Appeal during the same ceremony, the President’s Media Division (PMD) confirmed.
The swearing-in was attended by Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, marking a key moment in the continued strengthening of Sri Lanka’s judicial leadership.
