The Department of Examinations has announced that the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination will take place from November 10 to December 5, 2025.
Online applications will be accepted from June 26 to July 21, 2025. The Department emphasized that no applications will be accepted after 12:00 midnight on July 21, and the deadline will not be extended under any circumstances.
Students of government and government-approved private schools must submit their applications through their respective school principals, while private candidates are required to apply independently using their National Identity Card (NIC) number.
The Department urges all applicants to visit the official websites — www.doenets.lk or www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic — to carefully read the instructions before applying. Once the application is submitted, candidates are advised to retain a printed copy for future reference.
The usernames and passwords required for school-based applications have already been provided to the relevant school principals.
