The Department of Immigration and Emigration has urged the public not to pay brokers for submitting passport applications or expediting the process.
In an official statement, the department emphasized that passport fees must be paid only at the designated counters, and an official receipt must be collected for all payments.
The public is strongly advised not to give money to brokers, whether operating inside or outside the department premises.
The department further clarified that receipt issuance is strictly handled at the passport issuing counter.
Additionally, it noted that token cards for both regular and one-day passport services are currently issued daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
