Sri Lanka welcomed a total of 138,241 international tourists in June 2025, reflecting a 21.8% increase compared to the same month in 2024, according to data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India continued to be the leading source market, with 37,934 arrivals, accounting for 27.4% of the total arrivals in June. Other significant contributors included:

This steady inflow of tourists underscores Sri Lanka’s growing appeal as a preferred destination in the South Asian region.
The SLTDA also reported that total arrivals during the first half of 2025 reached 1,168,044, indicating a strong recovery and sustained momentum in the tourism sector.
