The Department of Meteorology has forecast several spells of showers today (08) in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
Additionally, a few showers may occur in the North-western province.
The Met Department also warned that strong winds of 40–50 kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills, and in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
