Sri Lanka Targets USD 1.8 Billion in Foreign Direct Investment for 2025

The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) has announced that the country aims to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) amounting to USD 1.8 billion in 2025.

BOI Chairman Arjuna Herath stated that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has recommended that Sri Lanka secure at least USD 1 billion in investment. He emphasized that, given the current favorable economic climate, the country is in a strong position to surpass this target.

Herath expressed confidence that Sri Lanka’s enhanced economic stability and ongoing structural reforms will bolster investor confidence and help attract increased international capital into key sectors of the economy.
