The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) is set to file legal action against Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody over allegations of financial misappropriation during his tenure at the Fertiliser Corporation in 2015, the Sunday Times has reported.
According to the report, the case will be filed in the High Court against Minister Jayakody and two others, on charges of misappropriating Rs. 8 million.
At the time, Mr. Jayakody had chaired the tender board that awarded the contested contract, which later became the subject of investigation.
