Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been summoned to appear before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) today (22).
He has been called to record a statement in connection with an ongoing investigation, reports said.
According to sources, the probe relates to Wickremesinghe’s visit to London during his tenure as President, where he attended the graduation ceremony of his wife, Professor Maithree Wickremesinghe.
