The National Transport Commission (NTC) has announced that long-distance passenger transport buses operated by both the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and private companies will run under a unified timetable.
The system will cover the following routes:

NTC Chairman Eng. P.A. Chandrapala stated that the services will commence from midnight today (25) at the Bastiyan Mawatha Private Bus Stand.
He added that after four and a half hours of travel, arrangements will be made for bus drivers to rest at designated locations. The NTC will also carry out constant monitoring to ensure hygienic food facilities are available for passengers during their journeys.
