Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has briefly overtaken Elon Musk as the richest person in the world following a sharp rise in Oracle’s share price.
Ellison’s fortune climbed by more than 100 billion dollars to around 393 billion dollars after the company reported strong earnings and increased demand for its AI and cloud infrastructure services.
Musk’s net worth, by comparison, was estimated at around 385–390 billion dollars during the same period.
Oracle shares surged over 36 percent in early trading, driving the jump in Ellison’s wealth.
