Former Deputy Leader of the United National Party (UNP), MP Ravi Karunanayake, said that the UNP remains the only political force capable of uniting people and leading the country forward.
Describing the UNP as an “elephant family,” he stressed that despite the challenges and obstacles he faces within the party, his sole objective is to work with all party representatives to strengthen and advance it.
Karunanayake further urged Party Leader and President Ranil Wickremesinghe to focus on rebuilding unity within the party and to take thoughtful steps to restore its strength.
He emphasized that the UNP has historically been the party that built and safeguarded the country’s economy, and therefore, it should not be allowed to collapse under any circumstances.
