French Prime Minister Sebastien Le Corneille has resigned, according to reports by Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Reuters.
The Élysée Palace confirmed in a statement that President Emmanuel Macron has accepted Le Corneille’s resignation.
The decision comes just 26 days after Le Corneille assumed office, following the collapse of the previous government led by François Bayrou.
According to foreign media reports, Le Corneille met with President Macron yesterday morning (October 6) for an hour-long discussion prior to submitting his resignation.
