Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Bimal Ratnayake has announced that arrangements have been made to enable passengers to pay bus fares using bank-issued credit and debit cards on buses equipped with electronic ticketing machines.
The Minister stated that this new payment facility will be operational from November 30, 2025, providing commuters with a more convenient and secure method of payment.
