The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) has announced that the Lanka Government Cloud (LGC) services have been restored to around 50 percent functionality following a major outage.
The disruption affected more than 40 government institutions, including the Registrar General’s Department, the Pensions Department, and the Police Department, causing interruptions to several online public services.
Digital Economy Advisor Sumudu Ratnayake said the restored services will be available for public use from tomorrow, while technical teams continue to carry out checks to ensure full functionality.
The ICTA also confirmed that the incident did not result in any data loss or compromise of security protocols.
