The Department of Meteorology has forecast a few showers today (29) across the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northern, and North-Western provinces.
Strong winds reaching 50–60 kmph are expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, as well as in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, including Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts.
The Meteorology Department urges the public to take adequate precautions to minimize potential damage caused by the strong winds.
