An island-wide anti-drug operation is set to commence this morning under the theme “Nation United – National Drive.”
The official launch will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The initiative aims to strengthen the nationwide fight against drug abuse through coordinated efforts involving the National Council on Drug Abuse, district and regional councils, and public security committees.
Authorities say the collective approach will enhance the effectiveness of prevention, rehabilitation, and law enforcement activities across the island.
