All Divisional Secretaries across Sri Lanka have been summoned to Colombo today (22) for a comprehensive briefing on the government’s 2026 development programs and the Prajashakthi rural development initiative.
The discussion, chaired by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, will take place at the main hall of Temple Trees. The session will focus on guiding Divisional Secretaries on the implementation of the Prajashakthi program—one of the government’s flagship initiatives aimed at eradicating rural poverty through community-driven development at the grassroots level.
Key topics to be discussed include the need for public service reform, the role of Divisional Secretaries in national development, the integration of digital systems within the Prajashakthi program, and their responsibilities in advancing the Digital Economy Program. The meeting will also highlight the importance of their active participation in the Ratam Ekata national campaign focused on combating bribery, corruption, and drug abuse.
