The government has so far allocated Rs. 1.2 billion for disaster relief services, while an additional Rs. 30 billion has been set aside in the 2025 budget to meet urgent emergency requirements.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, during an ongoing online discussion with government agents, instructed officials to request funds as necessary to support relief efforts.
The President further directed all relevant parties to ensure that disaster relief activities are implemented efficiently and without any hindrance.
