Magnitude 5.8 Earthquake Strikes Near Northern Peru Coast

An earthquake measuring magnitude 5.8 struck near the coast of northern Peru on Saturday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).

The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles).
