Former UNP Deputy Leader, MP Ravi Karunanayake, has called for national unity in the aftermath of the cyclone that recently affected the country.
Speaking to the media, MP Karunanayake highlighted that the current opposition is acting responsibly and will not shirk its duties during this critical period.
He emphasized that efforts to rebuild the country should be carried out without politicizing or labeling recommendations. “In the program to rebuild the country, the priority must be the nation itself, not politics,” he said.
MP Karunanayake added that Sri Lankans should come together and rise again with a strong sense of national identity.
