The Ministry of Health and Mass Media has announced that the State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation (SPMC) recorded its highest drug production in history during 2025.
The corporation produced a total of 3,625 million tablets and capsules over the year. March 2025 marked its highest-ever monthly output, with 385 million tablets and capsules manufactured.
For the first time, SPMC was able to fulfill all orders placed by the Medical Supplies Division without any shortages. Additionally, the corporation launched five new pharmaceutical products in 2025.
The Ministry also stated that SPMC’s total income for 2025 reached Rs. 27.06 billion.
