The remaining subjects of the 2025 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examinations, postponed due to the recent disaster situation in the country, are scheduled to commence today (12), the Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, announced.
The examinations will be held from today until January 20 at 2,086 examination centers nationwide, supported by 325 coordination centers and 32 regional centers.
Candidates who lost identity documents such as National Identity Cards, driving licenses, or passports due to the disaster will still be allowed to sit for the exams, provided they present a temporary identification document, the Examinations Department noted.
The examination times under the previous timetable will remain unchanged in the revised schedule. Commissioner General Liyanage also advised candidates to arrive at their examination centers at least 30 minutes before the start of the exams.
