President Dissanayake Leaves for India to Attend India AI Impact Summit 2026

Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to depart for India today (17) to attend the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

The President is participating in the summit at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Held under Prime Minister Modi’s patronage, the five-day summit aims to promote the responsible use of artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity.

According to a statement from the President’s Media Division Sri Lanka, President Dissanayake is expected to address the gathering on February 19.

The summit will bring together Heads of State from 20 countries, along with representatives from more than 45 nations. Discussions are set to focus on the future trajectory of artificial intelligence and how emerging technologies can be harnessed to address global challenges.

During his visit, President Dissanayake is also expected to hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Modi and several other world leaders.
