Sri Lanka’s NCPI Inflation Falls to 2.4% in January 2026

Sri Lanka’s overall inflation rate, measured by the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI), declined to 2.4% in January 2026, down from 2.9% in December 2025, according to the Department of Census and Statistics Sri Lanka.

Food inflation eased to 3.4% in January, compared to 4.4% in the previous month, reflecting softer price pressures in essential items.
