The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) is currently reviewing a proposal to revise electricity tariffs for the second quarter of 2026, with a final decision expected before the end of this month.
The proposal was submitted by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), which has requested a 13.56% increase in electricity tariffs for the period from April 1 to June 30, 2026.
As part of the decision-making process, the PUCSL has organized public consultation sessions to obtain views and feedback from stakeholders and the general public regarding the proposed tariff revision.
In line with this process, the third consultation session is being held today (12) in the Matale District.
