Large-scale protests against the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump have taken place across cities in the United States, marking the third round of the “No Kings” demonstrations.
Organisers say the rallies are in response to several government policies, including the war in Iran, immigration enforcement measures and the rising cost of living.
Demonstrations were held in major cities such as New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles, with large crowds gathering in public spaces including the National Mall and Times Square.
In Washington DC, protesters marched through the capital, while thousands assembled near the Lincoln Memorial. Similar scenes were reported in other cities, with some roads closed to accommodate large crowds.
A major protest was also held in Minnesota, where earlier incidents involving immigration enforcement had sparked nationwide outrage.
The demonstrations have also spread internationally, with protests reported in cities such as Paris, London and Lisbon.
While organisers maintain that the protests are peaceful, several states deployed National Guard units as a precaution.
The White House dismissed the protests, while critics argue that recent policy decisions by the administration raise concerns about governance and democratic norms.
The latest protests follow earlier “No Kings” rallies that drew millions of participants across the country.
