Deputy Minister of Transport Prasanna Gunasena says the printing of vehicle number plates in Sri Lanka will recommence by June 10, 2026.
Addressing Parliament of Sri Lanka today, the Deputy Minister stated that a new tender had been awarded to a new company and that an agreement had already been signed to restart the printing process.
According to him, the agreement was signed on March 10, 2026, and under its terms the company is required to begin operations within three months.
He added that, in line with the agreement, the printing of vehicle number plates is expected to resume by June 10.
