Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been summoned by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption today to record a statement regarding allegations linked to the purchase of ten aircraft for SriLankan Airlines in 2013.
Former Aviation Minister Priyankara Jayaratne has also been summoned to appear before the Commission today (12).
Responding to media inquiries regarding the summons, Mahinda Rajapaksa stated that he expects to appear before the Bribery Commission in accordance with the notice issued to him.
Reports indicate that the former President is scheduled to appear before the Commission at around 10:00 a.m. this morning.
