Sri Lanka Railways has announced that its official website, which was temporarily taken offline following a cyber attack last night, has now been successfully restored.
The Department stated that while most website services have resumed normal operations, the timetable section remains unavailable as restoration work continues.
Officials assured the public that no train schedules have been revised or affected as a result of the incident.
Sri Lanka Railways further noted that efforts are underway to fully restore all website functions and ensure the continued security of its online services.
Passengers have been advised to obtain train schedule information through alternative official channels until the timetable section becomes operational again.
Authorities are also expected to continue investigations into the cyber attack and take necessary measures to strengthen the Department’s digital security infrastructure.
