The Department of Examinations has announced that the deadline for submitting applications for the re-scrutiny of the 2025 (2026) G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination results ends today (08).
The online application process, which commenced on June 25, is open to both school and private candidates. The Department emphasized that all applicants must submit their applications individually through its official online portal, and applications sent through any other method will not be accepted.
Candidates can apply by visiting the Department of Examinations’ official website, www.doenets.lk, and accessing the “Exam Information Centre” under the “Our Services” section.
Applicants with existing user accounts should log in using their examination index number and National Identity Card (NIC) number, while first-time users are required to register using their NIC number and mobile phone number.
The Department has advised candidates to carefully read the technical and general instructions and watch the instructional video before completing the application to avoid errors.
The re-scrutiny fee is Rs. 200 per subject and can be paid using a credit card, debit card, or at any post office.
After making the payment, candidates are required to download and retain a PDF copy of the application, while an SMS confirmation will be sent upon successful submission.
The Department noted that only one online application will be accepted from each candidate and that the re-scrutiny fee is non-refundable.
