Several spells of showers are expected today (13) in the Sabaragamuwa Province and the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, according to the Department of Meteorology.
A few showers may also occur in the Western and North Western provinces.
Mainly dry weather is expected to prevail across the rest of the island.
Meanwhile, strong winds of 40–50 km/h are forecast at times over the western slopes of the Central Hills, the North Central and North Western provinces, and the Monaragala, Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar districts.
The Department of Meteorology has advised the public to remain cautious due to the strong winds and take necessary precautions to minimize any potential damage.
