A few showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today (16), according to the Department of Meteorology.
The Department said mainly dry weather will prevail across the rest of the island.
Meanwhile, strong winds of 40–50 km/h are expected at times in the Northern, North Central and North-Western provinces, and in the Matale, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
