The government plans to establish 50 vocational universities across Sri Lanka over the next two years as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s education system.
Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala announced the initiative while addressing a public event in Kurunegala.
The Minister said the proposed vocational universities are intended to ensure students have uninterrupted access to education throughout their academic journey while expanding opportunities for skills development and higher learning.
