The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) says dengue infections remain at high levels in several districts, particularly Gampaha and Colombo.
NDCU Director Dr. Kapila Kannangara said dengue control and eradication programmes are continuing in 63 high-risk Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions identified across the country.
According to the latest figures, the total number of dengue cases reported so far this year has exceeded 77,000, while the death toll has risen to 57.
Dr. Kannangara urged the public to remain vigilant by keeping their homes and surrounding environments clean to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and help curb the spread of the disease.
