Shantha Bandara’s Son Remanded in Alleged Rs. 20 Million Robbery Case

The Fort Magistrate’s Court has ordered the remand of five suspects, including the son of former State Minister Shantha Bandara, over the alleged robbery of Rs. 20 million reportedly belonging to a Chinese national.

The suspects were produced before the Fort Magistrate on Wednesday, after being arrested in connection with the incident.

After considering submissions made by investigators, the court ordered that all five suspects be remanded until July 27 while further investigations continue.

The case relates to the alleged theft of Rs. 20 million from a Chinese citizen, with police conducting inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and the involvement of each suspect.
